Ellie Gibbons is a UK born freelance photographer currently based in Northern India.
“Ever since I was a little girl I have had a great love for the visual arts and so making my way in the wonderful world of photography has been for me a very natural and rewarding progression, graduating from the Birmingham Institute of Art & Design (BIAD) with a very hard earned 1st Class Honours Degree in Media Photography and the Ian Evans Photographic Award. I then went on to work as the Technical Instructor in Photography at BIAD as well working as a professional photographer before leaving to fulfill my dream of working in India for 12 months.”
“My passion for photography is driven by the fact that anything and everything can become a subject for a photograph and for me ’seeing’ a subject with a camera allows me to explore and understand it so much more than just simply looking at it with the naked eye. And so, because I find everything in life interesting in it’s own right, I have experience working in many areas of photography including: photojournalism, fashion, portraiture, live music, wedding reportage and also working on audio slideshows. My approach to working is to combine my strong technical knowledge using digital media with a creative eye favouring bold colours, strong lines, and striking simplicity to create unique and beautiful images.”
