'Di Matteo' is a barber shop located in Sparkhill, Birmingham and for 55 years owner Vincenzo Di Matteo has flavoured the local highstreet with his unique Italian charm and character. My dad used to have his hair cut by Vince when I was a little girl and now I often pass the shop on the bus on the way to town - a blessed relief from the conformity of the high street shops in the City Centre! This photofilm will go on to form part of a larger series of work documenting Birmingham's communities through it's local barbers shops as well as a great promotional tool for the Di Matteo shop itself.
