New Oscott Village is a retirement village located in North Birmingham. This photofilm was produced by as both a marketing tool for the village itself and also to accompany a four part radio documentary series "I'm Still Here" challenging preconceived ideas about growing older and giving a voice to those who are unfortunately often neglected members of the local community through personal stories and characters.
The film itself explains the concept of the village so I won't go into too much detail here but I have to say, I had such a fun day photographing for this film that I can only imagine what it's like to live there! Roll on retirement... ;)
